food :: cupcake art even you can do!

What a fun book! Hello, Cupcake! : Irresistibly Playful Creations Anyone Can Make by Alan Richardson and Karen Tack, shows you how to make a tasty treat into a cool and unusual art form. I like the emphasis on ANYONE because heck, I'm no artist when it comes to creating masterpieces in the kitchen! From an edible sculpture of your own pet to a platter of spaghetti and meatball cupcakes so real looking you have to taste them to know that they are made from frosting pasta, hazelnut chocolate meatballs, and strawberry spaghetti sauce, this book is chockful of cool and easy ideas. The best thing about these easy design recipes is you don't need to know any advanced techniques or need hard to find ingredients because they give you step by step directions with lots of pictures AND the cupcake designs use candy and snacks available at your favorite convenience store or even the gas station. Yay - cute gas station cupcakes ;) Wouldn't this be a great activity for your kids at their next party? So go take a look at the book, Hello, Cupcake! and make a batch for your next party.

Cuz cupcakes are JUST COOL!

The Infinity Bookcase

A mathematical symbol that keeps your precious library of books stacked in style! This lemniscate or figure eight bookcase means you can read forever and ever and never be wanting for something new to read. Designed by Dutch conceptual artist Job Koelewijn who also created Sanctuary - a life-size gas station made entirely from the covers of books. Is it an homage to two soon to be extinct staples of Western Civilization ? Books and gasoline.
