iphone :: RAVENSWORD released today - at app store now!!

Speaking of  iPhones, I awoke this morning to mine playing  "Papa loves Mambo" . It was my son, Josh with GREAT news! Apple just released his rpg game RAVENSWORD : THE FALLEN KING...only a few hours ago! I am soooo excited for him and so VERY PROUD of him!!  Everyone was on pins and needles last week when apple rejected the game submission due to a glitch in the engine that it was created on. But it was quickly fixed, resubmitted and apple has passed it with flying colors. Here are the details from TOUCH ARCADE:

"Apple must have expedited the reapproval of Crescent Moon Games' Ravensword as it appeared in the App Store early this morning for $6.99.

Similar to recent Elder Scrolls games like Morrowind or Oblivion, Ravensword is an open world roleplaying game with both a main quest line to follow and a considerable amount of side-quests. The developers have quoted anywhere between 6-8 hours of gameplay to complete the initial quest without taking side-quests into account.

The Ravensword game world is surprisingly detailed for an iPhone game, and performs remarkably well. Along the way you will equip your character with all kinds of different magical items and slay hordes of enemies as the main quest line slowly reveals your character's mysterious identity."

So people, this spectacular RPG game is just another reason to go iPhone! You can buy RAVENSWORD : The Fallen King - iPhone's most ambitious roleplaying game at the Apple Store. It's only 6.99 and of course JUST COOL! Off to buy mine now, so  later peeps!

I love my iPhone and I won't go anywhere without it. With it, I can be anywhere and still have practically everything I need right at my fingertips!Internet, phone, my music, the weather,gps system, a ton of apps and much much more. But I have to admit I am not crazy about the sound quality. Whoever designed the tiny muffled speaker in this jam packed mobile phone wasn't too smart in that department. iphone :: a costume?

If you still haven't found that perfect costume for the party Saturday night and you love your iphone then this geeky Halloween disguise may be for you. It's the world's first award winning "working" iPhone costume created by Reko Rivera and John Savio. The two costumes have 3 batteries each with a total runtime of 4.5 hours before needing to be charged overnight. It all started two years ago, when Reko Rivera and Bobby Hartman created a wearable large iPhone costume with a real 37" lcd tv. An iPod was attached with a looping video of a real iphones screen in normal use. This time with the help of John Savio and John Matthews the team created yet another amazing rendition of the new iPhone 3GS. Savio loved the original idea but wanted to take it to the next level and make it thinner and actually work with user input! With some heavy researching and some solid determination Savio finally found a solution. He managed to modify the software on the iPhone to allow a live dual image output to the large 42" lcd tv while maintaining the image in landscape mode. Reko originally came up with the idea and really pushed to see his vision come to life two years ago. This year John and Reko plan to compete in most of the local and online contest to win back the two thousand dollars invested in the costumes design. I bet half of my readers , maybe even you, have never used a real live rotary telephone before .You know...the one with that round dial with holes in it that click click clicks when you dial the number? Get the word out! The highly anticipated RPG game for iphone, RAVENSWORD : The Fallen King, has officially signed with game publisher Chillingo with an estimated October 15th submission to the app store! Can you wait? I can't! I'm getting my iPhone ready for the download. Check out Ravensword's updated website with all it's new info on the game. They've also posted, to my delight, the Ravensword Bestiary - a pictorial glossary of some of the games interesting characters.

If you're a gamer and you have an iPhone, you have got to see this awesome and impressive high quality action RPG for the iPhone and iPod touch called Ravensword: The Fallen King. It is due to be released by Crescent Moon within the next month and frankly I CAN'T WAIT!

I have the inside scoop because I've been witnessing production first hand and have watched it being played by the developer and let me tell you - the graphics, gameplay and EVERYTHING are far superior than any other game I have seen available! This fantastic medieval game replicates the success of such games as Oblivion and Fable on the 360. With lots of action going on, you'll navigate large environments and battle with Orc, Ogres and Goblins with a wide variety of fantasy weapons and magic. The beautiful backgrounds are highly detailed, the characters highly imaginative, and the game itself one you won't be able to put down. AND you won't believe how they made the sound effects! (Oh yeah, did I mention that the music is really good too ?)

iphone:: free tv!

IPhone people, I just checked out a great free tv website on the internet and did I luck out because the site, Spreety.com, also has a "sort of" iPhone app! Just go to Safari on your iPhone , type in iphone.spreety.com and it takes you to the interface where you can watch and access literally hundreds of TV shows anytime, anywhere.  I like that! I just tried it out on my iPhone and watched some crazy Criss Angel videos. When I get home I am definitely going on my computer to:  Spreety TV Online : Watch TV Shows Online Free and take a looky. Thousands of  TV shows that are free to watch?? Can't beat that - it's JUST COOL!

iPhone:: find it, rent it!

I love my iPhone and practically everyone these days has one since they've come out with the latest $99 version. I'm also app happy - I have a ton of apps on mine and now I just discovered another very cool app available for people searching for apartments to rent! I think this would be great for college students, business people who change locations frequently - just about anyone looking for a place to live! And wow has technology come a long way with this one. Your iPhone automatically picks up your GPS location so when you launch the app it can direct you to rentals in your area. OR just type in a specific location you're looking for and it will list rentals in that area. It gives detailed info on each rental, pictures of the properties, plus you can phone or email the rental managers right from your iPhone through the links in the app. It even has a Notes and Photos option to keep you organized by letting you store thoughts and photos right on the listing. Art created using the iPhone fascinates me! It fascinated The New Yorker magazine too - enough that they put it on the cover of this weeks issue. The June 1,2009 cover was done by Jorge Colombo who drew it using Brushes, an application for the iPhone, while standing for an hour outside Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Times Square.

Look for more of Colombo's iPhone art each week within the pages of The New Yorker. While the talented artist has been contributing his conventional drawings to the magazine since 1994 , it was not until February of this year that he began dabbling in his new found iPhone art.

I haven't tried my hand at painting on the IPhone yet but after seeing this cool art I will definitely start now. Remiscent of that old kindergarten activity, finger painting, (which I loved btw!) the BRUSHES app for IPhone and ipod touch allows you to turn your photos into very cool paintings. Your Iphone - that handy gadget that keeps you connected, has a ton of cool applications. Like the Brushes app. Check this out. These talented artists "fingerpainted" these wonderful digital compositions. The miniature digital paintings are done on-site, on a whim and on their IPhones.
