money :: I sold it on ebay!

I can't believe some of the weird things that have sold on eBay. Infact I can't believe some of the things that I, myself, have sold on eBay and the prices that buyers will pay. I think my greatest ebay achievement was a frame I sold a few years ago for $800.00, that I picked up at a yard sale for a whopping $5.00. My New Zealand buyer was thrilled when she recieved it and so was I when I received her paypal payment! I guess it's proof that one man's trash is another man's treasure. I have been selling on eBay for almost as long as the auction site has been in existence and what a lot of people don't know is that many people make their living on eBay or a major part thereof (like moi!). Selling on eBay is really easier then you think. Nowadays there are so many helpful sites to get you started that why not give it a try? Do you have junk lying around in your cellar, your attic or your garage? All the more reason, to clean them out and make some money doing it!

But what if you don't feel like selling your items yourself on eBay? No problem! There are places that you can actually take your items to, and they do all the work for you. You just sit back and collect the cash for your item and pay them a small percentage. A great place that lists locations near you, as well as helpful tips and information is iSold It on eBay.It's great for the person who doesn't have the time to list their own items, yet would like to recycle and at the same time cash in on all their unwanted junk.

With the Holidays approaching, eBay is definitely a great place to pick up some extra cash to pay for all your extra Holiday expenses - and especially in today's economy - it's JUST COOL!

art :: autumn fun

Sheesh, listening to the news these days is nothing but depressing! Too bad we couldn't flip back to another era when life was sweet, right? So yesterday I decided to focus on what's going on in the world that's good at the moment and it was something as simple as it being Autumn, my favorite season! Here in the Northeast, when you look out your window , the landscape is like a brilliant painting. The sunlight is just right and the trees are garbed in blazing colors.

The Adirondacks and the Vermont Green Mountains are absolutely breathtaking this time of year and the leaf watchers (no I didn't say baby lickers) appear out on the roads to see the blazing foliage. The air is crisp, the sky is blue , pumpkins are lined up on porches, kids are bundled up in heavy garb playing in the leaves, while mom and dad are raking (and reraking) them.Roadside stands suddenly appear with the apple cider, the donuts, the apples and pies and other fall goodies. It's a good time. Yesterday I got my paints out and did a little Autumn painting of all the things I love about Autumn. Put it up on eBay last night, so check it out!

Check out the original on eBay or order the print here.

ebay :: this weeks fav listing

Funky Garden Sculpture

Let's call him Arthur. So cute he has a personality all his own! This very cool and funky old bird sculpture for the garden was made from an old spade and various metal tool parts then painted in bright colors. I picked him up at a yard sale and he has all the excellent age, rust and wear that you need to add to your garden your porch, by your back door - wherever! Arthur measures 16 inches high and has great weathered patina from hanging outside over the many years!

WHAT A FIND!! YA GOTTA HAVE HIM!

you can bid on Arthur here if you'd like

He's JUST COOL!

OWLS & O'S - Circles too

Lately I've been drawn to circles. Circles in art, in home design, clothes, yup, even food. Yesterday I found myself honing in on the circle things at the tag sales (unconsciously of course) . Here's a sampling of what I got, to prove the point. COOL Circular 1968 Mushrooms Puzzle.
(buy it here at my PopArtCafe Ebay Store)

An owl basket with round shiny eyes. Go for that one too

A big round wooden bowl - its old - it even has a crack but still the buyers love these dark antique primitive bowls.

And then I ate dinner. You guessed it. Something round again. Pasta topped with tomatoes, garlic butter and parmesan cheese.

"Little Tomatoes" Cool painting by

Elizabeth Graf . Check out her other paintings here in her etsy shop.

Aren't circles JUST COOL, wonderful and tasty? ;)
