His exclusive company, Al Nassma, was established in October of last year and aims to produce 100 tons of premium camels' milk chocolate a year reigning as "the Godiva of the Middle East", with plans on expanding into new Arab markets, Japan, the United States and Europe. 3000 camels on the Dubai farm supply the milk,which is healthier than cow's milk containing five times more vitamin C, less fat, less lactose and more insulin. The pricey bars are produced without preservatives or chemical additives and laced with a tasty range of popular spices, nuts and honey.

Look for the exclusive "camel candy" to be offered online in the next few months.Sounds like some JUST COOL chocolate I'd like to try. Plus those camels are sure cute!

Bacon ::the real bacon cheeseburger

Bacon...that other white meat. If you haven't noticed lately, it's the latest craze to sweep the internet! Probably because everyone loves everything about bacon - it's smoky deliciousnous paired with heavenly morning coffee aromas winding up the staircase and down the hall to blissfully awake you in the morning, not to mention its crackling crispy crunch. Soooo....if you are a die hard bacon lover, check this serious bacon cheeseburger out. Why so serious? Because there is no ground beef in it it at all, it is totally ground BACON molded into a patty and served between two slices of pepper jack cheese and loaded with perhaps enough fat to trigger a massive heart attack.

Breakfast isn't breakfast anymore when Columbian Artist, Ximena Escobar gets her hands on it. Here she embroiders, paints and sews collages on whole wheat toast. The talented artist has been known to play with experiment with other food too, screen-printing with milk and dark chocolate over paper, bread, fabric and walls.

Candy :: buy it on the web!

Back in the day (Yup, I'm that old!) candy was a precious commodity for us kids. A few miles up the road toward Saratoga there was (and still is) a charming old country store that my family would hit on the way to our weekend outings. It had a whole section of drawers, bins and barrels filled with penny candy. We'd fill our bags with licorice pipes, necco wafers,wax lips,boston baked beans,atomic fireballs,bazooka bubblegum,candy cigarettes and necklaces,wax drink bottles, pixie stix and more.

There wasn't a huge selection but what there was was enough to keep our little sweet tooths satisfied and occupied for hours and keep us out of our parents hair for the scenic ride, not to mention that it also kept my dentist, Dr. Schlansker is business as well. Well things have changed in the world of candy. Yes, The Country Store is still there, but that wonderful selection of those old fashioned favorites has been drastically reduced and replaced by the new fangled candy of today. Sugarless candy, space age, state of the art candy. Candy that I wouldn't even consider candy. So thank goodness for the internet, where everything - even the old fashioned favorites are still available!

When I was a wee child we learned table manners. Lots of them. No elbows on the table, napkin in your lap, always say please and thank you when passing the peas, eat everything on your plate because children were starving in China. Always ask permission to be excused. And if we had to use the bathroom during the meal (don't all little ones have to?) we had to refer to it as "the facilities"- e.g.,"may I please be excused to use the facilities". But the grande dame of all table manners / rules was :"NEVER PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD!"

Well Boys and Girls, times have changed. Nowadays kids eat when, where and WHAT they want, with no pleases, no thank you's and who cares if people are starving in China. Down the disposal goes the less than half eaten plate of food. Even the NEVER PLAY with your food rule has gone down the drain because of FRED's nifty plate called Food Face. Call me rebellious from a childhood of strict upbringing, but I whole heartedly approve of this one! 

Bring on the peas, the mashed potatoes and all the other culinary goodies because Fred's Food Face turns dinner into art. These neat plates would be great fun for my grandkids ( you may even catch me playing with my food too ;)). And hey - they may even get Aven to eat his dinner for once! The plates are mid-size and crafted from hotel-quality, food-safe, high-fire ceramics and each is individually gift boxed with lots of inspirational (not to mention wacky) food art. Wouldn’t YOU have loved this when you were a kid? Me too!

If you haven't noticed lately, Bacon, that lowly yet crispy and delicious morning food that we all know and love , has worked its way up from sitting helplessly on the breakast plate to the latest fad in just about everything.I have seen bacon band aids, bacon soap, bacon air freshener, bacon soda, bacon socks and now the Master of foodscapes , Carl Warner has caught on and has created his own breathtaking "Baconscape".

Like all of his other fantastic landscapes (including veggie scapes too!) this master of edible illusion makes this cool landscape believable (I bet at first glance, you didn't even know it was made from bacon.!)
