home entertainment :: it's confusing

Wouldn't it be nice to have one sole remote control for all the entertainment gadgets in your living room? At our house we have an ugly jumble of remotes, some so old that they have duct tape holding the batteries in! One goes to the tv, one to the cable, one each for the different video games, one to the dvd player, one to the vcr and I could go on. What is worse is figuring out how to control all of them so that we can see or play what we want! Many times someone (and that includes moi) has pressed the wrong button and screwed up the WHOLE system. So isn't it nice that Yamaha stepped in with it's one for all remote that controls everything on one simple to use system. A remote with a userfriendly onscreen interface even your 3 year old child or 95 year old grandma can use! It's called Yamaha neoHD and it's clean and simple, with cool, minimal graphics. It provides activity-based operation, which is more natural than just selecting from text menus. The user simply selects Watch, Listen or Play using the remote cursor, then chooses the desired source. All the other menus, such as song lists, are also easy to view, understand and make selections from. I always did think that less was more! So check out their website for more info and don't forget to enter the Yamaha neoHD Sweepstakes to win your own neoHD by Tweeting: “I just entered to win a #neoHD b/c I have too many remotes, visit (blog.izea.com) to enter”. Check out neoHD on facebook too! It's JUST COOL!
