transportation::what a bunch of bull

Yet another reason why they have to bring motor vehicle inspection back in Oklahoma - to keep bulls from riding down the road.

This bull was caught in the act riding in his owners car by off duty police officer Donald Kraft. According to Kraft's report the driver was transporting the bull so that his daughter could ride it in the National History Day parade in Tulsa (see the letters stamped on the side of the bull). These pictures snapped by the officer are no bull either. It's a true story - bringing a new meaning to "pimp my ride" ...

art :: Paul McCartneys head found in trash

Six days after Paul McCartney's head was lost on a London train, it was found by Anthony Silva, who was rummaging through the train station's trash. Amid soggy fried fish, snotty kleenexes and sticky soda cups the homeless man discovered the goldmine. The valuable waxwork model which was originally being transported to auction and valued at up to $18,000, had been misplaced on the London train by Joby Carter, who rewarded the lucky homeless man with a $4,000 check.

news :: this news site has it all

A website that has everything? I just found it! Clear365 is a great website for keeping up to date on breaking news, Celebrity Gossip News , and, even though I'm not a big sport's fan, the Latest Sports News. It's an Online News Portal featuring the best and most popular content on the web. Not only does it feature news, entertainment, sports like the other entertainment sites but this one is different because it also features your local information along with photo services, a music store, online games and even a Google web search. I call it your one stop spot for being informed, because it's all you really need. I love places like this where all the information is right at your fingertips, all in one place.

I explored Clear365 and it has a bunch of other neat features too. When you register, (it's free people!) it also offers a customizable widget block for bite size content on the go, and your own playlist. If you are a Clearwire customer you can add your email and calendar also. And the list goes on and on, but you'll have to check it out for yourself to see what I'm talking about.

The websites logo is Clear365 - Life goes Online - which is very apropos for a great news and entertainment site like this. It's JUST COOL!

News :: know about Megan's Law

Back in the old days, when I was a child, my parents let me and my siblings walk the three miles downtown to Proctor's Theatre and all the big department stores that were nestled on lower State Street in in downtown Schenectady. The world was a safe place to live back then and thoughts of kidnappings, sexual assault, and child molestation rarely went through any ones mind. We would spend our whole Saturday afternoon downtown without a care in the world. But fast forward to 2008 and the crime rate is soaring. The streets are no longer safe. Thank goodness that in 1995, Congress passed the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act otherwise known as "Megan's Law". What this law does is prevent all types of sex related crimes. The exact location of any previous sex offender is now considered to be public record and by law all convicted sex offenders are required to register their address, and their information is made available to anyone who inquires about it.

The Sex Offender Registry is an excellent source that allows you to look up that information. and locate sex offenders in your area. Everyone has the right to know about these threats in their neighborhood, especially if they have children and teenagers. Of course Schenectady isn't as safe as it used to be but atleast we now have the technology to be more informed and aware, thanks to websites such as this.
