art :: funny money

Two Frenchmen are the artistic culprits behind this funny money - altered faces on authentic American one dollar bills. Gee, I wonder if they're still worth anything.

French artists Ivan Duval and Jean Sbastien Ides drew these. Go figure they're not American.

blogs :: serious money

World's Most Expensive Blog

So you think blogs are just fun and games? Or a way to pass time if you enjoy writing ? They can be both, but they can also be a way of cushioning your wallet and living the lifestyle of your dreams too. Take for instance John Wu's blog called Bankaholic. Well actually it isn't his blog anymore because he sold it to BankRate for a whopping 12.4 million dollars and is expected to receive an additional 2.5 million bucks over the next year, making Bankoholic the most expensive blog ever sold to date. The blog created and soley operated by Wu receives revenue from google adsense and several credit card companies. So yeah, I like hearing this news. I'm aspiring to such dreams - do you think JUST COOL will hit the million mark by the end of 2009? I hope! ;)

Blogs - they're JUST COOL!

art :: money magic

Artist Marc Sky at DollarArtist.com has a magical way with money. He makes money from money but not in the conventional way. The Dollar Artist turns legal tender into intricate origami sculptures. His repertoire includes over three hundred fantastic folded models including dogs, cats, Yoda, frogs, hearts, and Wall-E, the lovable robot in the Pixar movie of the same name. He even makes utilitarian objects that you can actually use, like coin purses, paper clip holders and ipod holders.

The artist has been folding money since he was a kid. "I started in grade-school class, just folding my allowance money," he says. "When I ran out of that, I used Monopoly money to practice."
His folding practice has been flourishing ever since. You can purchase his "moneygami" on his website for $7.95 per dollar folded.

money :: I sold it on ebay!

I can't believe some of the weird things that have sold on eBay. Infact I can't believe some of the things that I, myself, have sold on eBay and the prices that buyers will pay. I think my greatest ebay achievement was a frame I sold a few years ago for $800.00, that I picked up at a yard sale for a whopping $5.00. My New Zealand buyer was thrilled when she recieved it and so was I when I received her paypal payment! I guess it's proof that one man's trash is another man's treasure. I have been selling on eBay for almost as long as the auction site has been in existence and what a lot of people don't know is that many people make their living on eBay or a major part thereof (like moi!). Selling on eBay is really easier then you think. Nowadays there are so many helpful sites to get you started that why not give it a try? Do you have junk lying around in your cellar, your attic or your garage? All the more reason, to clean them out and make some money doing it!

But what if you don't feel like selling your items yourself on eBay? No problem! There are places that you can actually take your items to, and they do all the work for you. You just sit back and collect the cash for your item and pay them a small percentage. A great place that lists locations near you, as well as helpful tips and information is iSold It on eBay.It's great for the person who doesn't have the time to list their own items, yet would like to recycle and at the same time cash in on all their unwanted junk.

With the Holidays approaching, eBay is definitely a great place to pick up some extra cash to pay for all your extra Holiday expenses - and especially in today's economy - it's JUST COOL!
