furniture :: what a wreck!

Joel Hester turns junk into funk. Like this ...
into this
Hi cool industrial furniture is welded from salvaged auto body parts, then clear-coated to preserve the oxidation and rust.

He also creates bed frames, desks and armoires from the old parts but I think these tables are the jewels of his collection. They're JUST COOL!

cars ::dimple technology

Sharks have them, Shirley Temple has them, so do golf balls. So why not cars? What are they? Dimples. You've heard about how the dimples on a golf ball actually make it go farther and Shark skin is the same way.(I don't know about Shirley Temple though;) ) So why not add dimples to a cars exterior surface and increase mileage and efficiency? That's what SkinzWraps, a company known for making mostly commercial vehicle wraps, has gone and done - they've wrapped a car in dimples. The company claims an 18-20% improvement in MPG and it's been confirmed too! This new technology is a product called MPG-Plus™. MPG-Plus™ significantly reduces a vehicle’s drag by altering the distribution of air pressure surrounding the vehicle. Although I'm not a wiz at physics by any means, it all sounds good to me. Transportation :: truck buying made easy

Considering the purchase of a 2008 Ford F-150 truck? Why not buy now, because the new 2009 models are hitting the auto dealerships in the fall, making it an ideal time to grab your 2008 model at a discount! But shop smart and be sure to check out the 2008 ford f 150 reviews before you hit the dealerships.

At www.thecarconnection.com there is a wealth of information, reviews and ratings to read about.
The 2008 Ford F-150 lineup offers an abundance of models for virtually every situation or occupation, starting well below $20,000 and , depending on which options and styles you are looking for, the price climbs upwards to over double that. All are work and play worthy, even those with the luxurious interiors. Available in three body styles: regular cab, extended cab ('SuperCab') and crew cab ('Super Crew'), all have four doors, which is always a plus. As for the interior, Edmunds applauds it for its "attractive and functional cabin" which is one of their favorite features on this pickup, its dashboard gauges are handsome and well placed and other reviewers rave about it's "finely wrought instrument cluster". The Ford F-150 hasn't undergone any major changes since it's redesign in 2004, but with all it's customization options and the fact that even without them it's standard features are truly impressive, it still maintains it's loyal following of "work hard" , "play hard" buyers / owners. Lets face it, the Ford F-150 is a die hard classic and it always will be!

cars :: daughter desperately seeking one

Last week my daughter, Bex, called to let me know her car was on it's last legs and she was in desperate need of a new one. I did some research and found a great spot that reviews cars in a unique way and you can actually do a poll to see what the "masses" think of the car you are considering. Cool huh? So check it out. It's called vlane.com and was created so that people don't have to go through the car buying process alone.It's got some JUST COOL features that let people learn from the research and decisions of previous shoppers, car owners, friends and family, which makes the process of shopping for a car so much easier and more reassuring. OK so here's the poll I made - Please VOTE PEOPLE - I need some input here!
