I love the stunts (or missions as they call them) that ImprovEverywhere pulls off! Here's a hilarious one involving 2000 plus actors walking their invisible dogs on the streets of New York. Check it out and laugh!

For their latest mission, over 2,000 people walked “invisible dogs” down the streets of Brooklyn on a Sunday afternoon. The leashes were on loan from the current owner of 51 Bergen Street, the factory space where the invisible dog toy was invented in the 1970s. Participants of all ages spread out from Red Hook to Brooklyn Heights, very seriously walking their very silly dogs.

Canine camouflage goes to the extreme in these cute sheared pups. Powdered non permanent spray paint is used to transform these poodles into animals like...

a panda

a camel

a bison

a horse

and an iguana.

It takes only about two hours for the creative groomers to carve, coiff and color these doggy  masterpieces  and add props for the finishing touch. Animal photographer Ren Netherland has been shooting the dogs for ten years now and  travels thousands of miles every year photographing these shear beauties at "creative grooming" shows.

Wanta see something very cool? Amelia Santiago makes these endearing pet sculptures out of wool using a technique called needle felting. Each is individually sculpted as one would sculpt clay and each is one of a kind. Amelia takes custom orders for just about any kind of pet and works only from her clients photos - no patterns or premade forms at all. I love the character that each of these wonderful wooly little fellows exude!

There's no reason why dogs should go hungry. Berlin recently opened a soup kitchen exclusively for dogs which comes on the heels of a failing economy and a higher unemployment rate. At the doggy soup kitchen, the homeless and unemployed can bring their pets in to take advantage of a free meal. One woman who uses the free service said she had two dogs, four cats, a rabbit and some guinea pigs. "Without this animal bread line, I'd probably starve to death," the 20-year old told German daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung. Hey, whats a 20 year old doing with all those pets, anyway?

The opening of the dog soup kitchen comes right after another Berlin first. A Doggy shuttle bus that shuttles its furry friends back and forth to doggy day care.

Nice to see Berlin taking care of its own...dogs. Its JUST COOL!

DOG DIGS

Poppy Petunia informed me this morning that it's time to get her her own place. So I've been looking, searching the doggy real estate market and there are alot of interesting dog houses out there.


I don't know what style she'll decide on. Like me, she is eclectic in her taste. Sometimes her favorite lounging spot is my modern yellow
sofa, while other times i'll catch her nestled in her shabby chic pink and blue quilt with the pink flowered sheets.






So Pops, which one will it be?
